Laura Robson wins Wimbledon Junior Girls title!
Laura played an excellent match today to be number 3 seed Noppawan Lertcheewakarn of Thailand in three sets (6-3, 3-6, 6-1), to win the Junior Girls championship at Wimbledon
What an amazing run she had through the championship, even beating out the number 1 seed Melanie Oudin of America. She certainly is a great hope for the future of British tennis, she has an exciting career ahead of her that’s for sure.
Laura is the first Briton to win this event since Annabel Croft in 1984. At just 14 years old she’s also the youngest player to win the title since Martina Hingis did in 1994.
