Laura has unfortunately had to pull out of the Orange Bowl tournament due to a stomach injury. She won her second round match yesterday, but today had to pull out of her third-round match with Beatrice Capra.
The next big event Laura has coming up is the Australian Open in January, where she will aim to add to her Wimbledon juniors grand slam with an Australian one.
Laura Robson got off to a great start in the prestigious Dunlop Orange Bowl in Miami yesterday. She cruised to a 6-1 6-2 victory over Russia’s Julia Samuseva. Laura is the number 2 seed at the tournament.
Currently ranked 5th in the world, Robson could finish the year as the junior world number one if she wins this title and other results go her way.
Laura Robson and her partner Anna Orlik have cruised through the Under 18 Girls Doubles championship at Eddie Herr International in Bradenton, Florida. They won the final beating Beatrice Gumylya of Indonesia and Kanyapat Narattana of Thailand 7-6(5) 6-3.
The pair never dropped a set in the tournament! An excellent start to the Florida Season for Laura.
Laura Robson and Anna Orlik beat Russian girls and number 5 seeds Karina Pimkina and Valeria Solovieva in their quarter final match up, in what appeared to be a fairly straightforward straight sets victory, 6-3 6-2.
They are now through to the semi-final where they’ll be up against number 7 seeds, Silvia Njiric of Croatia, and Amandine Hesse of France.

Mixed feelings for Laura Robson in the Eddie Herr tournament in Bradenton, USA – she lost her second round match in the girls singles to Nicole Bartnik. Laura went a set down but was able to pull one back, before Bartnik was able to finish off the match, eventually beating Laura 7-5 3-6 6-1.
Laura faired a lot better in her doubles match with Belarussian Anna Orlik (who had also lost her secound round match). The pairing beat Polish girls Paula Kania and Magda Linette in straight sets 6-2 7-6(5).
Robson and Orlik will be up against two Russians in their quarter-final match, Karina Pimkina and Valeria Solovieva.
Top seeded Laura has won her first round match of her third Eddie Herr tournament. She beat Brooke Bolender of the USA in straight sets 6-2 6-2. She’ll go on to face Nicole Bartnik tomorrow in the second round.
Robson also won her first round doubles match partnering Anna Orlik of Belarus. The pair defeated American pair Madison Brengle and Sloane Stephens 7-6(6) 6-1.
