NOOOOOOOO! – It is a bit trajic yes… but i think you’ve done us proud all the same… I’ve been following you and the rest of GB on ‘BBC sport’ each day… and you’ve been awsome i think – from the sound of it commanding quite a lot of play and then digging deep when you had to! Laura and Georgie have just started their 2nd round doubles match and what a difference – must have had a few tips after the first match. Considering who they are playing I don’t expect them to win but it’s good tose them playing better.

This is incredible! Laura doing SO well against a player 400 places above her in the rankings. I saw Hantuchova on Centre Court a few years back playing the great Justine Henin. It’s lovely to see Laura following in the footsteps of the greats.

They do work the juniors hard – 2 matches in 1 day but Laura and Anna won on a tie break. First time I’ve noticed this type of tie break (1 set each), is it used at all tournaments ?

I got a bit worried when Laura went down 6-2 in the first set of her first round match but she made a good job of the next 2 sets to win through to the next round.
